Walsh: Teacher’s moral is at its lowest in state history, probably lower than in the banking crisis. Making the changes to the pension system [that would be studied by the actuary] would make it even more painful.

Williamson: objection noted. The analysis of the actuary is not a conclusion.

There is a motion to expand the study to look at more options.

Williamson wants to know if it would cost more.

Conradi: Yes.

Teacher's moral, or TEACHERS' MORALE? LOL You make it sound as if one teacher can't be trusted around youngsters. Tim, the media have to hold to a far higher standard, if only to raise the bar for others.

Jules1066 -
You are so right. That was a silly mistake on my part. For what it's worth: I was typing on a laptop from the hearing room. And posting it live (but, no excuses).
On the other point: I was quoting Robert Walsh -- that is not an opinion of mine. Sorry of that was not clear.

I caught that too, Tim, but moral was my main point and I didn't want to sound as if I were back in my Andy Roony-ish curmudgeon mode LOL. Not to worry: the thing is still well-reasoned and sound. :-)
